I am Er. Ashok Kumar Singh — a mechanical engineer, a retired Chief Manager from Coal India Limited, and above all, a son of the soil of Jharkhand. Over 35 years of service in the Jharia Coalfield region, I witnessed firsthand the extraordinary resilience of our communities and, equally, the devastating impact of colliery closures, displacement, and unemployment on countless families.
That experience became my calling. Post-retirement, I channelled everything I had learned into founding Dhartiputra EduSkill Development Foundation — a Section 8 non-profit organisation born from a simple conviction: that education and skill development can restore dignity, opportunity, and hope to the most vulnerable.
Our foundation was registered in March 2026, and from Day One we have moved with urgency. We established the Dhartiputra Skill Academy — an NSDPI-authorised Fire & Safety Management Training Centre (Auth No. NSDPI/2026/JH-131/0634, valid 2026–2028, 150 seats) — and launched flagship programmes that directly address root causes of poverty in our region:
- GLORY — Youth examination coaching & academic support
- URRJA — Women's livelihood programme, 500 women across 25 Self-Help Groups
- CARE — Community health awareness initiatives
We are also developing NSDC-aligned vocational courses — including Facial Therapy (3 months, 240 hours) and Beauty Care training modules — ensuring our curriculum meets modern industry standards and opens real employment doors.
As a certified Career Counsellor (NSDC & Alison) and an AI practitioner with multiple internationally recognised certifications, I bring both technical depth and social commitment to every initiative. At our Career Expert Study Centre, we conduct NSDPI-authorised vocational courses, skill development, and CSR training — because every individual deserves access to quality knowledge and opportunity.
